Yes the seals on the sunroof keep most of the rain out but they are not leak proof which is why there is a drain tray with two drain tubes to help prevent any leaks failure to do routine maintenance on keeping the tray and drain tubes clean will result in water leaks.

Totally worked, thank you for helping me salvage a broken fryer! I used a smaller mB bolt from home depot.... 3/4 inch long instead of a full inch, but $1.25 later, the fryer works like a champ.
